Spooktacular Scarecrow Contest – Chester NJ

Every time I turn around something is happening in Chester.

Tomorrow (Saturday, Sept. 21st) is the Heroes Run…we blogged about that a while back – Come support our local heroes. Check in for this 5K run at 8 a.m. on Main Street. You can register online at: www.bestrace.com. Remember Main Street will be closed from 9 am to 11 am.

It’s hard to believe that it is almost the end of September…and then all the sudden it is going to be Halloween…and that means SCARECROWS…hmmm I wonder what crazy designs are going to show up in this year’s contest!

Of course I am talking about the 14th annual SPOOKTACULAR SCARECROW CONTEST October 7th thru 11th.

Now wouldn’t he make a fantastic Scarecrow…hey – let’s get our creative juices flowing guys!
If you want to set up a scarecrow you must register so call Stained Glass Boutique for more information 908-879-7351 to enter this FREE contest. They will fill you in on the rules and prizes. Did I say PRIZES…yes, ahem, I did and they are great – up to $150 for first place and there are several different categories.

Judging will take place over the weekend of October 12th and 13th. Good Luck!!!!! Scarecrows unite! Let’s take over Main Street!

The leaves are starting to turn so the drive to Chester is a very beautiful, colorful trip and the days are glorious so come see our shops, our farms and of course our restaurants!
