December 6th thru 13th, 2014 – Festival of Trees “Christmas Now & Then” – at The Barn at Highland Ridge Park, 100 North Road, Chester, NJ

Chester Firemans Carnival & Fireworks June 24-28

This Annual event sponsored by the Chester Vol. Fire Co. will be held at Chubb Park…Food, Games, Rides and Entertainment!  The Fireworks will be held Friday Night at approximately 10:15 pm….a noisy spectacle to be enjoyed by all!!!!   Woohoo!  For more information visit http://www.chester-fire.org

6th Annual BlueGrass Festival and Pig Roast Saturday, July 12th 10am-8pm

A treat for your senses…anyway your ears and taste buds…this event will be held at the Gazebo Park on Main Street.  This is a free event…there will be activities for the kids, live bands, vendors and an instrument auction.

Donations will be happily accepted and all proceeds will benefit BYG Work Camp; which is a mission group composed of 7 local area churches that travel to Appalachia every summer to rebuild homes with Appalachia Service Project.  This summer 140 volunteers will spend a week making many families safer, warmer and drier through home repairs.  So support this fun and worthy event and play a part in making people happier!!!

4-H FAIR – July 18 – 21

The annual 4-H Fair will be held at Chubb Park, July 18-21. 4-H Fair Hours:
July 17 – 4:00pm-10:00pm, July 18 & 19 – 10:00am-10:00pm, July 20 – 10:00am-4:00pm
  • Sponsored by the Morris County 4-H Association in support of the 4-H Youth Development Program of Rutgers Cooperative Extension.
  • Admission: None
  • Parking: $5.00 donation (Friday after 6:00pm, $10.00 donation for fireworks)
 This is a fabulous event for the family!  I have so many great memories of 4-H Fairs when I was a kid…my sister and I rode in many of the 4-H horse shows around the state..showing at Chubb Park was always a pleasure!  4-H is a fabulous organization to involve kids in!

Shops in Chester will be running sidewalk/flea market type sales – there are sure to be some good bargains and it will be fun to Come to Town….Go To The Peach Festival…and then stroll along Main Street and Visit our Sidewalk Sales. 

Chester Fall Craft Show –  Sept  6 & 7

This is the big craft show that Chester is pretty famous for…this is the 41st year of the show.  Wow!
It will be held at the Gazebo Park on Main Street as always from 10 am to 5 pm.  There is a $5 admission fee and this event benefits the HCBA.  For more info visit their website at http://www.chestercraftshow.com

    Will the Ghost Tour be held this year?

      Hi Susan, I am thinking that it will but I do not know for sure. The Ghost Tour is put on by the borough of Chester’s recreation commission–so if you call the borough they may be able to tell you! Barbara
