Cheryl Brown, the owner of this delicious establishment says “We are your destination for homemade baked goods – specializing in cupcakes, cookies, custom cakes and more!”

When she decided to take the leap and open a business Cheryl thought of how wonderful it would be to be in Chester.   She reminisces “I remember Chester as a child.  The streets would be packed and we would spend all day going in and out of little shops.”   Smiling, she continues “the items in our bakery illicit memories of childhood.  We make our cookies and other treats in small batches, just like you would at home…and Chester’s hometown charm seemed like a perfect fit for what we wanted to do.  So when it came time to open the bakery, it was the only place we considered. “

Well, all I can say is how lucky for all of us here in Chester!!!

Happiness is Cupcakes!!!

Cheryl won the Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars” in the early years after opening the Sweet Spot Bake Shoppe, but not one to rest on her laurels she has worked hard to improve and grow the business.  So, in 2013, opened a Party Room next door to the shop offering cupcake, cake and cookie decorating parties for children or adults and even bachelorette and bridal shower parties.

Staying on top of the “sweet” market they are very aware of diet restrictions.  So their “goodie” line now features a Vegan (dairy free) cupcake – Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Frosting.

Gluten Free options  include vanilla, chocolate and black and white cupcakes, all of which are available with a variety of buttercream.  Gluten free cupcakes are also available as full size cakes and there are also Gluten Free Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Cookies.

 Sweet Spot Bake Shoppe and  Skips Candies have partnered to provide 100% Nut Free treats including rice cereal treats, chocolate covered oreos and chocolate lollipops.

 Customers stop at the front door and say “it smells so good in here!”  Then they walk in and are struck by all the yummy flavors.  Cheryl states: “They love that we bake the way they would at home if they had the time” –  and when they ask for our ingredient list it’s always short and they can pronounce everything on it…they say “oh, that is wonderful…I’ll take a dozen.”
